Professional Wrestler Rolando Perez, AKA “Miami Ice”, comes out as bisexual
It’s the Year of the Come Out for professional wrestlers!
In January, Chris Lewis (a.k.a. The Hitman for Hire, Mr. Grim) came out as pansexual. Now, he’s being joined by another professional wrestler.
On Wednesday, during Bisexual Awareness Week, indie pro wrestler Rolando Perez, AKA “Miami Ice,” came out as bisexual in a social media post, according to Out Magazine. The self-described “bad, bad man” who was “raised in da streetz of Lil Havana”, is popular across the professional wrestling scene of the Deep South.
“F*ck it…” Perez wrote on Twitter. “I’m bisexual.”
The wrestler is often seen wearing loud 70s and 80s-style polyester shirts and gold chains with the top buttons open to show off his chest hair. No wonder his name is “Miami Ice,” with a style that is obviously paying tribute to the hit 80s police show “Miami Vice.”
Perez wrestles in events promoted by Alabama-based New South Pro Wrestling. The company’s Top Shelf and Action Clashes events are staged in smaller venues across Alabama and the Deep South, and livestreams their events on Independent Wrestling TV.
Miami Ice will next step into the ring this Sunday, September 26, in the Top Shelf event at the Furniture Factory Bar & Grill in Huntsville, Alabama.
