Pro Strongman Rob Kearney Marries Partner After Win in Australia
One of the strongest men in the world, Rob Kearney, has had a whirlwind week! He won the 2019 Arnold Pro Strongman contest, was congratulated by Arnold Schwarzenegger and then married his partner Joey Alexio on a beach!
The couple announced their marriage on both of their Instagram accounts @worlds_strongest_gay and @worlds_gayest_strongman
Rob Kearney came out five years ago and has been very public about his relationship with Joey, including their temporary break up in May last year. But we’re so happy they clearly have not only fixed their differences, but also taking a giant step forward together.
The fact that Arnold Schwarzenegger himself was on hand to congratulate not only Rob on his win, but also the happy couple on their wedding, added an extra layer of awesomeness to an already magical week. Schwarzenegger even tweeted about the couple saying, “I think this is a first: winning the @arnoldsports Strongman and getting married in [sic] the same weekend. Congratulations guys. I was honored to celebrate it with you.”
