New Bear Horror Film, A Taste of Youth, to Premiere in NYC
Joshua R. Pangborn, the Bear World Magazine Award winning artist and the creator of Sidekick Productions, will premiere his chilling new film A Taste of Youth this Friday in Brooklyn, New York, just in time for Halloween!

A Taste of Youth is the world’s first queer, fat-positive horror feature film, from the twisted mind of Joshua R. Pangborn and SideKick Productions. Starring Mark-Eugene Garcia (Demon Doctor), and co-directed by Pangborn and beloved bear musician Nakia, the film is sure to shock and delight audiences with cinematography by Catalin Stelian and special makeup effects by the talented Paul Antzoulis.
Fans of Pangborn’s beloved series Skeleton Crew and Demon Doctor will see many a familiar face pop up on the screen to help tell this deliciously macabre tale that will include cameos from throughout the bear and horror world including a special appearance from bear horror host Stan the Mechanic.
Besides that, other members of the queer horror community pitched in to help bring Pangborn’s vision to life including Roman Chimienti (Scream, Queen! My Nightmare on Elm Street) and Ryan Miller (Death Drop Gorgeous) who did the Sound Design, plus an original score by Andy Nolte, with music supervision from Nakia.
The finished product will screen for the first time this Friday, October 25th at the Ocktober Film Festival where members of the New York City bear and horror communities will converge for the world premiere of A Taste of Youth at the Stuart Cinema & Café in Brooklyn.
