Finding Time for Christ: Peaches That Is

There seems to be nothing that can stop Christ. Peaches Christ that is.

San Francisco’s premiere drag queen has not only kept busy in SF, but she’s taken her act on the road. And it’s not the same tired act done in a new city – Peaches seems to have a lot of varied and worthy events we should put on our radar – whether in SF, Seattle, Portland, Los Angeles, Long Beach, New York or Canada. Let’s see what this queen is up to.

Terror Fault – San Francisco – Christ has always loved horror and the macabre and has helped put them all on display at this haunted-house-ish event at the San Francisco Mint. Great way to feel Halloween for more than one time a year. Keep tuned in at http://www.terrorvault.com.

Midnight Mass – Los Angeles – Christ’s decades-long former midnight event that sold out San Francisco for decades has found an audience outside the City. This time around, she, along with Cassandra Peterson, will make a horrific and fun event at the David Geffen Theatre in Los Angeles July 19 for a screening of Elvira: Mistress of the Dark. The event, only $12, will feature a live event that only Christ can do as well as a live podcast with Peterson and Christ podcast costar Michael Varrati. Get info at http://www.peacheschrist.com.

Midsummer Scream – Long Beach – Christ and her cavalcade of ghouls will be on hand July 27 for the program, The Return of the Living Drag 2: Drag by Dawn. This is just one part of an exciting weekend part of the Halloween & Horror Convention at the Long Beach Convention Center. Our home girl Christ isn’t the only famous one there – except to see Candyman Tony Todd, Elvira Mistress of the Dark‘s Cassandra Peterson and the Boulet Brothers, among others. Get info at http://www.midsummerscream.org.

Idol Worship – Mink Stole – Christ will spend some time with one of her idols, Mink Stole, in an intimate cabaret show that will travel from Canada to Portland to Seattle and beyond. Christ has not only treasured Stole for years (from all of those John Waters’ films including Pink Flamingos and Hairspray) but when Christ made her first feature film, All About Evil, Stole was one of the great stars she included. An evening with these two sick minds is something not to miss. You can get tickets on www.peacheschrist.com and while you’re there, seek out the special Blu-Ray of All About Evil.
