Bear Carnival 2025: The Ultimate Celebration of Community and Fun in Gran Canaria
Check out our recap of Bear Carnival 2025 along with some exclusive images courtesy of the event organizers.
As the sun sets over Maspalomas, Bear Carnival 2025 wraps up its most ambitious and heartwarming edition yet — and the feedback couldn’t be more positive. With a record-breaking 74 official events spread across 11 days (plus a host of unofficial overflow gatherings), Bear Carnival 2025 has firmly established itself as the largest and most diverse bear event in the world. But beyond the numbers, what truly stood out this year was the extraordinary sense of community, the warmth among visitors, and the innovative spirit that keeps Bear Carnival at the forefront of international bear culture.

A World-Class Programme Like No Other
From dawn pool parties to twilight cruises and everything in between, the range of experiences at Bear Carnival 2025 was truly staggering. Over 74 official events were packed into the programme, including 7 pool parties, 4 boat trips, 3 island tours, 7 exclusive spa evenings, and daily sex-positive gatherings. Nightlife highlights included more than 8 clubbing and carnival events, while 7 casual social activities like bowling, bingos, and minigolf brought bears together in more relaxed settings. Whether you were seeking fun, connection, adventure, or intimacy, there was something for everyone, every single day.
Every possible vacation experience — and then some — was packed into this bear utopia.
Innovation at Its Core
True to tradition, Bear Carnival 2025 didn’t rest on its laurels. This year’s fresh additions honored the event’s decade-long history while continuing to push boundaries in the most joyful and inclusive ways imaginable. The 10th Anniversary celebrations included a stylish cava toast at Junior Bar, a wildly entertaining treasure hunt supporting Checkpoint Canarias through quirky challenges in the Yumbo Square bars, and a spectacular costume party at Club Kiki that brought back beloved themes like pirates and Vikings for one unforgettable night. Inclusivity took center stage with a suite of events designed especially for solo travelers—nearly half the attendees—including a five-hour catamaran cruise, a cozy social evening with cava and tapas, and a spa night so popular it hit the waitlist early. These moments of connection were powered by the Hug Team, a group of volunteer hosts committed to ensuring no bear felt left behind. Wellness and play also featured prominently, with a practical fitness workshop by The Bear Trainers, an upgraded Bear Trail pub crawl through Maspalomas’ liveliest spots, and two daring new cruising experiences: a sensory blackout party and a visit to one of Europe’s last adult cinemas. Each innovation reinforced Bear Carnival’s mission to combine fun, community, and bold self-expression like nowhere else on Earth.
