All-New 2025 Honda Civic Hybrid: 49 MPG + Style

With the all-new 2025 Honda Civic Hybrid, your money will go a lot farther, and in today’s very uncertain automotive market, that is so important.

(I was surprised to learn we are now in the 11th generation of the Honda Civic, as of 2022.)

You can get the Civic Hybrid as a sedan or SUV, depending on your needs or desires. You will get a bit of luxury and utility, and for about $32K US (that’s what the starting price was last month), your money should go far.

Even with hybrid batteries weighing down the car, the handling is sharp and reliable. Using the center console to play your music or cool you down is a snap, even if you still don’t know how to upgrade your phone or your home entertainment system (like me).

The big selling point here is an average mpg of 49. This is not a plug-in hybrid, which is all the rage these days, but the good news is (if you will) that you do not have to plug it in at night, just gas it up and go and pump the brakes on occasion to get the juices flowing.

The 2025 Civic Hybrid comes in two trims: Sport Hybrid and Sport Touring Hybrid.  I tested the Sport Touring Hybrid, which has leather seats, Bose sound and an overall feel that you really are an A-List Bear, whatever that is.

Keep in mind, the Civic is still a small car.  I have always liked the Civic, but please, climb inside first to see if you will fit comfortably.  The last thing you need is a great, reliable car where you feel cramped inside.

For Hondas that are larger, you may want to check out the Honda CR-V or the Honda Pilot.

People who were on the fence about buying a new car jumped in and bought something within the last 30 days

People are now afraid, and IMHO, they should be.  Even Republicans who supported Trump are now admitting to being afraid, like cowardly U.S. Senator Lisa Murkowski of Alaska

Where do we go from here?  It’s anyone’s guess. Staying vigilant may not be enough but we must stay on our toes.  Keep your affairs and your papers in order. Keep your loved ones close to you.  Do something for your neighbors who are in danger of disappearing into the night.

Remember, Trump and his Eejits are gunning for us. They will not stop out of the goodness of their hearts because, well, there is no goodness there. They will be forced to stop, assuming that somehow will happen.

Honestly, this is almost forcing me to pray to a god (like Pope Francis) whom I do not believe in – and forcing me to end a sentence with a preposition.

I hope you had a good Easter.
