2025 Toyota Camry Hybrid: Still One of the Best

The Camry has always been one of the best cars to own, and the 2025 Toyota Camry is no exception.  Everyone (at least, those who live on the World Wide Web) can’t get enough the 2025 Camry, which, for this year, is a hybrid only.

(Last-minute note: There is currently a recall on 2025 Camry cars for a defective rear seatbelt. Other Toyotas are also being recalled for similar issues.)

“Peppy, efficient powertrain, balanced ride and handling, comfortable well-built interior…” Those are just some of the nice things that U.S. News and World Report has to say about the 2025 Camry, which ranked it Number 1 for Hybrid Cars

This fully-redesigned Camry has so much going for it, it’s almost easier to say what’s wrong with it: limited rear seat headroom and an engine that can drone on a bit when pushed. Other than that, truly, fasten your seatbelts and drive.

This small-to-midland sedan starts at around $28K (check local dealer lots for excess inventory) and gets an average 43 city / 51 highway.  It comes in cheaper than close competitors Honda Accord hybrid and Honda Civic hybrid.

Front-Wheel Drive is standard; if you want All-Wheel Drive (which you really should have), you will need to go up the food chain from the base LE trim to the XLE or the XLS trim (which is what I tested, pictured here).

Navigation and technology on this Camry are truly a slice of birthday cake. The center screen is more than a foot long (measured diagonally), and for those (like me) who want physical buttons and dials, they are all there, right underneath the touchscreen.  Pairing your devices will be much easier than setting up your Commodore 64 was, even if you did get it fully-loaded, ready-to-go from Radio Shack.

This really is a great sedan that you should test-drive (and I do mean get in the car and see how your arse feels). “[There is] just enough athleticism and style to make it not boring; It’s a great pick for a midsize sedan, according to Edmunds.com

Economic hardships will continue, and now, unfortunately, the entire world may get in on the depression that started here in the colonies.

Of course, I want you to have a new car and enjoy the touch and thrill of having all that fresh-off-the-factory-floor feeling.  But I also realize that your Hus-Bear and your wallet may have you leaning toward a used vehicle. Click here for a good guide from Consumer Reports on how best to shop for a used car, and please note, you will have to stay awake and with your guard up when getting anywhere near a used vehicle.

Call me crazy, but after seeing a rash of White House missteps, like the ban on gender-affirming healthcare being ruled unconstitutional, I am feeling a bit more optimistic about our Bear future.  Yet, I do feel that everything will get tougher before it gets better, as evidenced by the Trump tariffs that will raise car price by as much as $12,000 US

This is what people who voted for a convicted felon get, and much like in school, we will all suffer because of the few who did not care about anyone else, including themselves.

And all because most who voted could not trust nor respect one of the most qualified public servants in history, who just happens to be Black and a Woman.

Let this be a lesson, boys: There are women in your life who can make it better.  Much better.

Do not let your opportunity to gain from their knowledge and courage evade you.
