2025 Genesis GV80: A Luxury SUV for Every-Bear
It’s not the snazziest name for a luxury vehicle, but the 2025 Genesis GV80 is your first-class ride to everywhere the Bears are: beach, mountains, pubs, fundraisers…. Let your greatness shine, with or without buckets of glitter.
I mean, “[interior] trim surfaces include lightly finished wood grain, brushed aluminum and unique materials such as basalt and recycled newspaper,” according to U.S. News and World Report. Leather steering wheel. There’s even a Mood Curator, which can program scents, lighting and even music for you; it’s like having Febreze, a disco ball and Enya, right there at your fingertips.
Four Bears should travel just fine in this midsize SUV. (To be clear, the Genesis GV80 is the SUV and the G80 is the 4-door sedan, more or less.)

This ride truly is the cat’s pajamas. Not only is the opulence more overwhelming than being at an IMAX show without taking your Ritalin, both the interior and exterior just scream Gold-Bear status but with enough room to take the party inside (extra wide cupholders included).
Power is impressive: a 2.5-liter twin turbo offering 300 horses is standard. All-Wheel Drive is also standard (and now that we are all living somewhere that has been affected by climate change, having AWD is truly a necessity).
Mileage is 21 mpg combined: not great but not bad. Over 36 cubic feet of cargo hold behind the backseats; 72 cubic feet if you put the seats down. Evasive-steering assist and pedestrian detection are some of the many, many advanced safety features.

Yeah, but, Wow! The 2025 Genesis GV80 is absolutely class and luxe, Bear style.

Anything used is always fraught with unknowns and pitfalls, but if you can isolate the good sellers from the bad, you may be okay. This article by Consumer Reports (one of my trusted news sources) is a great place to begin.
Gosh, I miss the Obamas and the Clintons, back in a day when even the weather and airplanes cooperated.
Did you know that when Pete Buttigieg was U.S Secretary of Transportation (under Joe Biden) that there were absolutely no fatal air crashes? Come 2025 and the skies have clearly gotten more dark.
As has life in America…..
